Professor Eric Mazur, keynote speaker at CORE's uLearn17 conference, is a physicist and educator at Harvard University, and an entrepreneur in technology start-ups for the educational and technology markets. As well as describing his own learning, Mazur illustrated approaches that can be used to engage students and enable them to take ownership of their learning. He emphasised the need to understand that it must be learners who own the learning, rather than the teachers.
